AICQLOAD v0.91	(freeware)		2001-06-16

		- A smart launcher/delauncher for AtarICQ -

PURPOSE

* Launching aICQ

This programs only purpose it to provide an easy way to have AtarICQ
started automatically when you get online with your ISP. Of course,
you can call AtarICQ directly from the dialing application you use but
then it will not notice whether AtarICQ is already running or not.
AICQLOAD will first check if AtarICQ is running, and if so send it a
GEM message that will trig it to go online with latest connecting
status from either last session or config file.

* Shutting down aICQ

You can also use aicqload to terminate aICQ if your dialer program
supports logoff-scripts (pppd does this). Call AICQLOAD from this
script with parameter -x. If aICQ is running, it will terminate unless:

-New messages arrived since the last time you opened message window
-You have started to write a new message in message window
-Message window is open

If aICQ is not terminated, it will bring the message window to front.
This will also force aICQ to report itself as offline.

INSTALLATION

required:

1) Add a new entry in the environment "GEMICQ_CLIENT=<full path to aicq>"
2) Tell your dialer to run AICQLOAD when ISP-connection is established.
   It should not matter in what DIR you keep the launcher.

optional:

3) If used to terminate aICQ, you need to call aicqload with parameter
   -x from your dialers logoff-script.

KNOW PROBLEMS

Calling AICQLOAD from STinGs batch file won't work. Solution: -use Spawner!
